Default So PROUD of myself!!!

Today is my daughter's birthday and I took her out for dinner. Mother, daughter thing. Anyways we went to a steak and seafood restaurant and I had steak and lobster Which if I'm right was ok. Anyway I'm so proud because I didnt touch the rolls which I LOVE and didnt have the baked potatoe which I LOVE and last but not least my daughter got a piece of turtle cheesecake for birthday dessert. By the way looked absolutely wonderful. She really didn't want it so here it is staring me right in my face. Didn't touch it!!! Told the waitress to box it up maybe she'll eat it later. Came home and gave it to my neighbor. All I could do was sit there and just smell this wonderful thing looking at me. And I know deep down inside it was a callin my name. YIKES!!!! That's why I'm so proud. I gave it know time of day. Had to tell myself YOU GO GIRL!!! Sabrina

Default Way to go girl!!

Sabrina,

Congratulations on successfully turning down those *yucky* carbs. Isn't the satisfaction of saying 'no thank you' better than eating the forbidden carbs? I think so, and the satisfaction of saying no is just as big a pleasure the tenth time as it is the first time.

You've just proven to yourself (and the world wide web, hehe) that you do have the strength and determination to succeed in the battle for your health and well-being.

(Doing the happy dance for you)

Ruth

Hey Sabrina - Sounds like a wonderful dinner - lobster's one of my favourite *diet* foods

"Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" True eh?

Congrats - if you've turned down turtle cheesecake - you've climbed the equivalent of Mount Everest in the low carb forest!!!

Congrats... I love your idea of getting the cake right out of the house. For sure the darn stuff would have talked to you all night.

You can be very proud of yourself.

FANTASTIC!!!

Incredible willpower on your part. Smart choices from a smart woman.

I had the same problem today at work since it was a co-worker's birthday and she brought in a whole, huge Tiramisu dessert.
I managed to resist it completely too. It's tough making those decisions, but soooo worth it afterwards. (Even though at the time it's so easy to feel deprived and sorry for yourself.)

Way to go!
