i'll join your challenge nick, anything to keep you from that 5lb bag
it won't be hard for me as i don't buy candy or hand it out and no young ones to bring any in the house. my granddaughter is 16 and more interested in the school dance than trick or treating

many, many thanks to those who have joined so far! We still need more to save me from a massive carb load, though. Please help me -- and yourself -- by joining this short-term challenge.

Here's an idea we've used at my house ever since the kids started trick-or-treating... We let them choose 4 or 5 pieces of candy that they want to save, then they dump the rest into a bag that gets left on the porch for the "Good Witch", who exchanges the candy for a small gift. (The candy then goes to the food bank.) Of course, the kids quit believing in the Good Witch about the time they quit believing in Santa, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny, but they still like to play along.

Made it! No candy last night--no GOODIES at school, either! (Not even the cupcakes I gave to my students as a surprise!)

No candy here either. Thank God for teenagers, we have no bags of candy in our house, so it is easier for me. Keep up the good work everyone!!! I did have three SF mini peppermnint patties (Russell Stover's) They are SO GOOD!!!!

anyone need a big bowl of candy ?? Got that much left . Never had any, didn't even desire it, which is the best thing about this plan. I just crave food when I am hungry.
Daughter made it as well, we had an endulge bar which doesn't stall us. So lets look to making it thru Thanksgiving....????

Congrats to those who stuck with the pledge! Unfortunately I caved and raided the leftovers on Saturday night.

No regular Halloween candy but I did over do with the low carb stuff, 2-3 candy bars a day. I have so much Halloween candy left that the temptation continues.
