Default Panic Now?

Hi
Im new to cad and in the last 10 days I have put on 3 pounds!!
I know it doesnt sound like much, but to me it is such a big step in the wrong direction!!
Can anyone give me any ideas?

I have cut out milk in my tea
I have stopped taking AS other than reward meal
My rms have been pretty balanced
I have only had one cm and one rm most days

- but still my weight goes up!
I dont know how long I will be able to stick to this and watch my weight increasing almost every day!

Help please

Jackie
I wouldn't panic yet. It looks like the weight was put on with the AS and white tea and now it's stabilizing. That's good. I would give it another week before panicing.

Except for needing more vegetables, your meals look good if a little on the low side. Also the McDonald hamburgers do cause problems for some.
Must be the MSG in them.

Are you ever hungry? You should never be hungry on CAD, if you are you're not eating enough. Is it near TOM? What was your score on the CAD test? While CAD is not for everyone, if you scored high it's usually a sure indication that CAD is the plan for you. Some have to go lower fat, some have to stay away from triggers, some have to eat more or less but it does work.

I'll keep my eye on you, if you'd like.

Thanks for your reply,Zule
I scored nine out of ten in the test, so Im definatly one of you!
Im finding it really easy to follow, Im never hungry and am very happy following the plan, I just need the weight loss to start!!
I am not craving choc or anything really bad - I think if is the ideal plan for me in the long run, I know I just need to be patient (not a strong point of mine!)
I will keep plodding on.
I am finding it difficult to eat veggies as Im not a big fan of any on the lists My favourites are tomoatoes and onions! Typical!!
Id be really grateful if you would keep an eye on me. Im sure that I will be able to do it, but its just all the little 'tweeks' I need to sort to get it just right!
Thanks for dropping in
Jacquie

Hello Well i say hang in there I found my weight list of my first few weeks on CAD
151.5, 152, 151.5, 153, 156, 156 ,154, 153.5, 152, 151, 151, 150.5, 151.5, 151.5, 152.5, 150.5, 150.5, 153, 152, 149.5, 148.5 this was from 11-21 to 12-17th
Included Thanksgiving with a way unbalenced RM and too much sodium
I think maybe my point is hang in there I have come to realize that my weight can bounce a great amount due to who knows exactly but definetely sodium is one of those things

Hey Rebecca
Thanks so much for these details of when you started! It was really encouraging to see that in fact I am 'the norm'.
I will definatly keep on with CAD as I really love it and find it easy! My weigh has been 143 for the last four days so hopefully it may be settling before starting to come down.
Thanks for the encouragement

I was so unsure CAD would work in the beggining but I was eating well and feeling good, I think the weight started coming down once i was more in Sync with the plan....The beginning RM were too much and too Carby but like a kid in a candystore what do you expect in the beginning I was in heaven I could eat things i hadn't had in sooo long but the newness/novelty of that passed and I still eat the things I love just not all in the same day or week even...you know it helps that there's always tomorrow my next RM is less than 24 hours away

Good Luck I know you will do great

Hi Jacquie,

I like the CAD/CALP concept of weighing daily, then taking the average after a week. That way, little weight swings and the fact that our home scales aren't that perfect won't drive us crazy! Sometimes it's salt, sometimes it's hormone shifts, sometimes it's the phase of the moon -- all these little things can shift one's weight a few pounds in either direction. Sounds like you're doing great!

Default Newbies needing inspiration...

Thought I'd bring this post up for all the newbies (including me!) as they are very inspirational. My weight has also gone up on my 3rd week of CAD..lots of stuff going on..hormonal..water retention..etc. Just knowing that others have gone through the same and have lost all the lbs put on the first few weeks of CAD is very comforting.

I'm on on cloud 7 with CAD!
