Unhappy Help not losing any weight or inches at all

Hello I am new here. I have been on the Atkins diet for about 1 month and I have not lost any weight or inches at all. I have been very good I think on the plan. I was the biggest Coffee light and sweet addict, stopped that drink a 3 cups a day with a sweetner not sugar and not whole milk. I use to drink about 8-10 cups a day. NO bread, pasta, potato. HELP I am about to give up.

Bobbie

Hi Bobbie! Don't give up! Sometimes it's the little things that throw us off and that can be discouraging. Are you eating alot of nuts or cheese? Drinking enough water? Eating enough veggies? The sweetener could be stalling you, it happens to some people. Post a typical day's menu so we can see what might be the culprit!

Hang in there, you might just need to tweak it a bit to get it to work right for you!

Please don't throw in the towel yet!!! I have had the same problem to from the get go. I am just now starting to see results after 1.5 months on this plan (approx) and it is definitly not scale wise either, all inches. Try to just look in the mirror and see what is skinnier. For me I noticed that my face and fingers were smaller first, now my thighs are a lot smaller to and my fat jeans fit better.

Please stay encouraged. Any low carb dietary change is a positive for better long term health. And remember, this is not a get skinny quick plan. It takes time! (((((hugs)))))

Hi Bobby! Welcome. Hey, why don't you post a typical weekly menu so we can see what you eat.

Like ibelieve and ibusymom said caffeine and aspartame are not allowed on Atkins because they can cause stalls in some people. Some people also say that Atkins bars and shakes stall. Are you eating enough fat and enough calories? Are you overdoing the carbs?

If you have not already you should go to fitday.com and set up an account. It is free and you can use it to track your carbs and the percentages of protein, carbs and fat in your diet.

Don't give up! Sometimes it is harder for some of us but if you keep at it the results you want will come.
