Default cough syrup

Imagine my dismay at having to either imbibe sugar (sucrose) or stay up coughing all night. Now the sugar was the last ingredient on the list. . .but I felt like I was sending my body spinning out of Ketonsis (sp) is there a cough syrup out there with no sugar? I don't need the guilt, the cough is plenty all on it's own! redawn

I am sorry! That really stinks.

I don't know about cough syrup-I do remember seeing sugar free Halls cough drops. Sometimes you just have to make the best decisions you can in the circumstances. I wouldn't fret too much.

well I found some cough syrup at the store without sucros. . .but it wasn't easy! Even the TheraFlu's have sugar (those hot tea drinks work best!) But for anyone's info. . .the AlkaSeltzer ones have no sugar. . .but are price prohibitive. redawn

Look for Buckley's. It has no sweeteners at all. It tastes like a ghastly mixture of hair dye and menthol, but it works.

Slaybl,
Not sure how you found all these OLD threads! but no need to comment on 12 year old questions. If you use Advanced Search function you can limit date range for results, or just check that any search results are current, within the past year.

Slaybl, I notice that you posted on the onions thread that you think onions and peppers knocked you out of ketosis. It's probably a combination of two.

Thanks for reminding us about sugar free cough syrup as we enter the cold and flu season
