Angry Pulled muscle

Hi all,
Seems like I'm just an accident waiting to happen these days...

I've gone back to a little exercise the last week or so which includes doing some lifting with free weights (very light - 5 lb dumb bells) to try and reduce the upper arm flab. Yesterday evening I got this very crampy feeling around the left side of my chest. It almost feels like a heart muscle (yikes!) and makes me sort of suck in my breath when I move my arm but I think it's that muscle that I pulled connected to the upper arm exercise I do.

My question is - anything anyone can think of to ease this? I'm lugging a big backpack these days because I've gone back to school so I'm a little worried that this will make it worse. I've tried ibuprofen but it doesn't seem to help.

Thanks,
Tam
