Default I'm Cranky!

Did anyone else ever notice how cranky you get when you go on the diet?

I've been snapping at my finance lately for nothing. I've been on a modified atkins for about a year and when I go up 5 lbs I go back to induction and my finace literally has to force feed me carbs to get me back to my nice self.

Anyone have any solutions to that? Its kinda like everything just REALLY gets on my nerves which usually isn't the case.

Well as you probably know, irritability is part of withdrawal. The cure - and I'm dead serious - is don't put yourself in a position where you have to keep on returning to Induction.

Other than that, remove yourself from the situation when you feel an irate attack coming on and wait till it passes.

Question Induction

Karen:

What would cause someone to return to induction?

yep Karen you're right, I'm planning to keep to it this time. My friend actually gave me the guidelines but I finally got the book last week and read so many things that probably have stalled me on the way.

I'd love to get past induction and just keep strict on the other phases so I wont have to deal with getting cranky.

I was on it strict last year and went from 204 to 175 in a few months and was mucho happy. Then I figured I could just eat low carb "most" of the time well I gained it all back to 205 as of jan 1. I'm down to 194 now and been here for about a week.

I know what you mean with the cranky thing.

Went back on induction last week, unfortunately combined with TOM and a touch of the Flu. I was a sourpuss all week.

Started taking Dexatrim on the weekend, which has a mild stimulant. I find that once my energy level goes up, so does my mood, so now I'm back to normal.
