Hello all!

Glad to be hear, heard great things about this WOL or WOE for me it will be both.

It will be hard and will need help along the way. I was given to books by a really good friend of mine who lost 28lbs in 2 1/2 months. I am wowed still. I am kinda clueless about this diet but will find my way.

How many carbs should one eat in a day?

Thank for your help. I will be checking in soon, like everyday to stay grounded.

Hi there Dreamer, welcome!

How many carbs you can eat varies dramatically from plan to plan. Low carbing isn't a one size fits all. Some like the strictness of Atkins, while others do very well on a plan that allows way more carbs.

If you go to the right side of the screen, you'll see "Which low carb plan is right for me?" It contains summaries of the major plans. The best advice I can give you is to choose the plan which will best suit your lifestyle, then buy the book and read it thoroughly. Then you'll have a really good start.

All the best to you!

Rosebud

Default Second time around

Hi everyone!

I am not new to Low Carb 4 years ago I lost 40lbs and was back in a size 8 but my dad committed suicide and I went through a bad divorce so now really kinda stop caring about myself. Now I am in a better place and would like to get healthy again!

I have 45lbs to lose and could use all the support I can get! I started 31/2 weeks ago at 205 and now I am 196

I know I will get there but it is going slower this time? Any advice for me?

First off sorry about all the stuff you have been through..Life's changes make us all put ourselves on the back burner, but welcome back...

Congrats on the loss so far, your doing a great job...I would just say, keep doing what you are doing, it seems to be working for you...Keep coming here for support and advice as this forum is great for both..I could not make it this far without this place..Done rely a whole lot on the scales, but go by how you feel and how your clothes feel, many times we get down when the scales dont budge...Thats going to happen, dont get discouraged...Write down everything that you eat, that holds us accountable...Look around at all the thread, there are alot of interesting ones around with lots of info...Welcome again and let me know if i can help in any way..Stacy

Hi Dreamer, I hope you find the right plan for you. If you try one for a couple of days-weeks and it isn't right, keep trying others till you get that good fit. Good luck.
