Well I was coughing and a co-worker handed me a cough drop. I just grabbed it and thought nothing of it. Later I realized that it contained sugar and was just like candy. Does anyone know of a good sugarless cough drop? Also as far as cough medicines go, do they make a sugarless one? TIA

I'd suggest checking in at your local drug store or pharmacy. I know that they make sugar free products for diabetics, so it shouldn't be a problem finding some.

I found Halls sugar free cough drops are pretty good. Cherry ones! Again, check at the drug store for the cough syurp. I used some of my mothers over the weekend and I didn't catch the name. It didn't quite cut it like NyQuill, but .... no sugar. Hope you feel better!!!!

If I recall correctly, Nyquil comes in capsules that do not contain sugar. Alas, they also don't give me the rush of downing a capful of Nyquil and immediately feeling warm all over, but what can you do.

The only sugar-free cough drops I've found are Halls. They only come in a couple of flavors, not the mint ones that I really like, but at least they don't have sugar.

Well, theoretically, you could down them with a shot of vodka, I suppose, to make up for the lack of an alcohol base in the Nyquil !

Oh yeah, I guess that is the alcohol in Nyquil that makes me feel that way. Well I'm probably better off without it, so thank you Dr. Atkins for making it off limits.

Actually, I realized last week that I haven't had a cold yet since starting Atkins. Normally I would be sick pretty much all winter, but not this year, even after spending all day on an airplane full of sick people last week. I am wondering if it's because of all the vitamins I'm taking now.
