Default I just cheated but I think I am okay..

I am on Day 20 of Induction and just cheated for the first time. After a breakfast of scrambled eggs, one hotdog, a lunch of two ck strips, and a dinner of a cheeseburger (no bun of course) then I got the munchies so I had a total of ten saltines and two or tablespoons of peanut butter. Oh well. I got sick last night after taking a laxative because I had not "gone" since Monday. I feel like I lost some weight after last nights expulsion anyway. I plan to be good tomorrow and beginning Monday I will raise my daily carb intake to 25-30. Any other advice?
Thanks for listening.

Default Veggies?

How are you doing on veggies? You didn't mention eating any. Maybe if you eat more of those, you won't be hungry for stuff like crackers? Just a thought. I find that veggies often curb starchy carb cravings. Also, now that you're moving into OWL territory, you could always try some natural (sugar-free) peanut butter. I find it's not especially tasty so I add splenda. Celery and natural peanutbutter would be a better choice for that particular munchy.

Anyway, you're probably okay. A snack that that doesn't have enough carbs to wreck ya especially balanced with the protein and fat in peanutbutter.

Happy low carbing! Good luck.

I don't think you should think of the crackers as cheating. If you plan to eat the low carb way for the rest of your life there will most likely be times when you "wander." I think the important thing is that you get right back on track. When I was reading Atkins book he was saying that once you're at goal you should never let yourself go 5 lbs. above that weight...if you go up you need to get control of it right away. If you've got his book read the "Eating in the Real World" chapter..I found it really good.

Also, if peanut butter is something you enjoy (like I do) try this recipe (I found it somewhere else on here).

1 cup sugar free peanut butter (I use Adams brand)
1/2 cup Splenda
1 egg

Mix everything well, cook at 325 F for 12 minutes. I have two of these awesome cookies every day...they are a little crumbly but very tasty.
