Default Need words of wisdom!

Why is this lo-carb thing so hard to do? It all makes so much sense, the lethargy you feel after pigging out on sugar, the bad headaches from carb withdrawals. I have locarbed before, lost 20 some pounds. Yet this whole entire world revolves around food and carbohydrates. It is so hard to get back on once you fall off. I have gained back most of the weight, and I hate myself. My clothes are too tight, it is not even the holiday season yet. My family eats tons of this stuff. I am having a hard time remotivating myself to get back on track. Any words of wisdom?

Hi Gummybear,

I'm a bit short on wisdom, how about some words of encouragement instead?

How about going back to the basics? Get out your book again and reread it. Then maybe have another look at your Atkins and Sugar Busters books, too, just for more encouragement that this WOE WORKS!

I find it helps stave off boredom to plan some really yummy meals. Try looking through our recipe section for something a bit tastier than usual to remind your tastebuds how yummy low carb can be.

Have you looked at the orange bar at the top of the screen? "Low Carb Tips" has some helpful advice.

All the best to you, matey, I hope you can find your way back soon.

Rosebud

Default No , No and No --

You can find Courage !! Courage is an outdated word - You've got it !!! -- You just have to find it - It is there - I searched and searched and finally , one of my girlfriends stated to me , Pam , you have just got to find your courage again - Such a simple statement - but - oh so powerful - I could not forget it !!

Are you aware that once you are on Atkins or I am assuming any other lcarb way of eating that 'food cravings ' are non-exsistent? Oh - thats too radical a statment - Yes , they will come .. but - not with the power they once had - Courage - courage for just a little while - hang on until you cook your lcarb food or are eating your lcarb snacks - that seem despicable to you at present time - keep going on -- You can do IT !!! Once again - I repeat -- Courage!! -

You have made me 'think ' of it today.. Thank You ... I have to find my own Courage - every day -- it is something I have to search for and Build!!

Nice talking to you - more for me than for you -- hope to hear from you soon - You can do it -- just for one day!!
