Talking NO NO NO NO

We have a rule here, no kicks to any body part other than a swift boot to the seat of the pants... .. So, consider yer butt booted, here's a big {{{{hug}}}} , now off you go on your lowcarb journey.

You can do this, I just know it. C'mon, jump in, the water's not cold at all! ..

All the best, and keep us posted, that really helps too.

I think the number one thing to get started is the will to lose the extra pounds.

Do you want to lose the weight?

If the answer is yes, then you are well on your way.

Cut out the following:
sugars, pasta, bread, potatoes, beans, peas, corn (anything that is high carbs). The so called "low carb" bars have hidden carbs. Coffee and tea also have carbs so watch those.

Start eating lots of fresh meats (watch the packaged lunchmeats), fresh green veggies, brocolli, cauliflower, spinach. Drink lots of water!

Do not worry so much about calories as to watching the carbs you intake. 20 carbs a day is the max on the Atkins diet for the first two weeks. First 48 hours your body burns glucose stores. You may experience headaches, feel like you are going to fall on flat on your face and pretty much icky. This passes as your body converts it's fuel burning from carbs to fat. After the first 2 weeks you should start feeling terrific, with lots of energy and see some weight loss.

Hope this helps and good luck

Default pictures....

I took pictures of myself in a bathing suit the day before I started. This made me determined to succeed and lose the weight I saw in the pictures!

Good luck getting started!!
