Unhappy At a standstill, already?!

Is it normal to be at a standstill after only 5 weeks? I am happy I lost 14# total, but I've been doing the same things and I haven't lost any # this last week?! I have been eating some sugar free jello, pudding and soda. A half a cup every other day or so. I only drink 1 soda a day. Sometimes just a drink of it after a meal helps since I'm used to sweets after I eat. I do drink at least 80 oz. of water every day. Also, I'm supposed to drink metamucil 3 x's a day for diverticulosis, it has 10 carbs each time. I don't always do it 3x's. But I can tell I need the fiber... Anyone else have this dilemma? Thanks to all!

I think it's normal, especially considering you're fairly close to your goal.

You'll probably want to use the sugar free metamucil. Then it's all fiber grams, right? You might want to ask the doc if plain psyllium would be okay. I think it's a little cheaper.

Have you checked the sodium levels on these?

Could be your body is hanging on to water due to the salt in these items. Believe it or not, sugar free pudding is REALLY high in sodium. Try dropping these items out for a bit and see if the weight loss picks back up.

Talking Thanks so much!

Thanks. It is nice to communicate. I do use sugar free metamucil. I also lost .5 # today. I'm gonna start walking more now that the weather is cooling down. Thanks again for the support.
