Yeah, nuts aren't allowed on induction. On the other hand, no deity of dieting is going to smite you with a lightning bolt for it. I would imagine that nuts are (dare I say it?) small potatoes compared to other things you could have had. That isn't license to eat buckets o' nuts, of course, but it does mean that you can afford to cut yourself a small bit of slack for making a smarter food choice and going with the least of many evils.
Whenever I feel faintly horrified at having eaten something I oughtn't have eaten, I try to remember that all it can do is slow me down, not stop me. If I eat that extra handful of nuts, I'll notice it later---but I'll also try to remember that they really were awfully good, and maybe going slower some weeks is okay for you.
I totally understand, by the way. Nuts are a great downfall of mine, because they're just so easy to eat.
