Question does using hormone replacement therapy slow weight loss?

I've been on hrt for about two years and have low carbed on and off during that time. Prior to going on hormones I had done Atkins with a lot of success, but like so many foolishly went back to my old ways. Typically I got discouraged and went to Weight Watchers, lost about 8 lbs and then got sick and tired of starving myself, so I'm back here. I ran out of hrt prescription around the same time I came back to low carb, about 2 weeks ago and have lost about 6 lbs, (when I restarted low carbing in January, couldn't seem to lose more than 2 lbs in a month, this was typically the case for me the whole time since I started hrt and tried lowcarbing). So finally my question is, is it possible that hrt can stall weight loss?

Anikatt, I think if you do a search on hormone replacement therapy on this site you will find lots of info. From what I have read, it will definitely stop, or stall or slow down dramatically, weight loss. Also, going on and off any weight-loss plan will make it less effective the next time you try. That's why we call it a way of life, you have to stick with it for the rest of your life.

There may also be solutions and "work-arounds" that could help.

HTH,
;-Deb
