hi there oddsock
Unrefined nutritional oils such as Udo's, flaxseed, hemp, Essential Balance 3-6-9, etc .. are considered to be "functional fats". The fatty acids are absorbed by the body and used for specific functions, repair, healing etc ... and so theoretically aren't burned as a source of calories.
Some folks choose to include it in their daily totals at fitday. There's an entry for flax oil in their database; Udo's oil could be entered as a "custom food" and you may enter the specific breakdown of fats .. mono's, poly's etc.
I consider my Udo's and flax oil as a nutritional supplement, and don't count it towards my food intake. Think about it .. if you took flax or fish oil in a capsule, would you count it as a calorie-containing food?
