Default Back on the wagon....

I started the atkins diet a couple of months ago - lost quite a few pounds - felt fantastic but with Xmas and a number of other things happening in my life that made me think...'oh I need a plate of Pasta....'etc....I have put back on all the weight and more and really do not feel good about myself and my efforts now. I promised myself that I would behaave differently and I have broken that promise to myself.

I am starting with induction today. THe summer is on it's way and I want to be able to wear nice clothes and not worry about how my body looks and have the confidence to wear what I want not what will cover up the bits I don't want viewed.

I am officially back on the wagon and really do not want to fall off it this time....I have to say though I have truly questioned my will power and it really annoys me that something I want so badly is soo hard for me to achieve..........

On a positive note though - I know that this works - it worked before. I will do this.....................................

Default Hello :)

I am new to this dieting stuff....never had a weight problem until I quit smoking 8 months ago and ate everything in site plus quitting smoking changes the motabolism of your body. So this is new to me but I am determined to get this 20 lbs off! I think what will help you as is helping me with this and helped me quit smoking. Just take one day at a time ....it makes it not as intimidating and really makes it easy. For one day I will stay on this diet and eat only what I should.....repeat that tomorrow Take one day at a time and you can do this! Just tryin to cheer you on ! Chrissy

BurkeyB, so many of us are in your shoes! I don't know if that is good or bad, but don't beat yourself up so bad, as you aren't the only one who wants something so bad, but has trouble forcing yourself to do what is necessary to obtain it!! We will all root for you, while at the same time taking the advice of the person responding before me, taking it just one day at a time to help us get to our goal. Hang in there, you can do it!!We all can!

Default DAY 2

I am happy to see those responses and thank you. Yesterday I bought myself a weighing scales - I said I would never do this - I thought it was obsessive but I'll tell you something - not being obsessive didn't work so time to build an intimate relationship with the scales....

Am feeling strong and optimistic today. Looking forward to seeing the downward slide on the scales. And dumping some clothes because they are just too big for me- and buying new clothes....ah yes!

I have had my bacon and eggs this morning and am just about to start on my water drinking - beginning to feel good again......BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!1
