Default percentages from fitday.com

I am on pp and i have recently utilized the fitday.com site to calculate my percentages. my percentages are usually like:

low 40's% for fat
mid 40's% for protein
and 5-7% for carbs.

is this o.k.? because when i look at other people's percentages in their journals, their percentages are pretty much the same for carbs, but their other percentages for fat and protein are much higher than mine. why is this?

The bulk of the forum are doing Atkins, Lisa. Fat on atkins is much less restricted than with PP. Using fat to get your calories up is OK - it's important that you eat enough food every day so that your body doesnt go into starvation mode. Aim for 10 -- 12 times your body weight and see how the percentages line up then. At 40% for fat, how many grams are you eating? It's not as important that you eat a large amount of fat / protein as it is that you fulfill your protein requirement for the day and get in enough food.
