Hello again everyone. It has been awhile since I posted on the TDC. I started in March at 322 and this morning weigh in at 268.5. Was down to 263 but broke my wrist last saturday and did little pity eating with the pain meds. Well I am past that now and just need to get back on track. I know I can go out and walk but with my broken wrist are there other exercises I can do?

Thank you in advance for your help

NDHuntress -
Ouch! I can imagine how that must have hurt! Be proud of the fact that you - despite the broken wrist and those crazy pain meds - jumped right back on the bandwagon! As for the exercise issue - I will defer to the experts here that may have some super ideas for you. I have lots of knowledge about LC eating and do walk and use a flex resistance band but that is about it in the knowledge department for me!
All my best to you!
Linda

I think that walking would be about it for now, most other thing might strain it. I have never had a broken wrist, so I don't know what movements irritate it. Did you ask your doctor about it? (the exercise I mean!) Maybe once it is healed more there are special exercises that you can do to strengthen it. Physiotherapists specialize in this sort of thing.

use your other hand for weight lifting.

you can also lie on the floor (or bed) and do a lot of leg lifts.

walk on a treadmill.

stretch.

Well the cast is now off I will wear a brace for 3 weeks but I am getting better. I have now lost 65.4 pounds and am looking at being under 250 by Christmas. Yeah

My thanks go to everyone who has been so supportive to me in this journey. It sure helps to have friends who have been there even if I have never met you.

Sounds like you've handled the injury very well and haven't let it hamper your progress much at all. Good for you!
