Talking Starting tomorrow



Hi all. I am starting the low carb diet tomorrow. I have done weight watchers to the point that I was battling anorexia and bulemia. I have started down that path again, so at the suggestion of my father, am going to try this. He says that you get results without severe calorie restricting. I sure hope he's right!! I'm looking forward to meeting some of you in the chat rooms, for conversation, support or whatever.

Welcome, dizzyd. Congratulations to your father -- he's given you good advice.

You sound as though you already know that restricting calories is NOT HEALTHY. I hope you really "own" that, and don't try to carry it over to this Way of Eating. I don't know enough about the Sommers program to be helpful -- you might check out the Low Carb Plans forums, because there's a Sommercize one there. Just please, please eat

welcome here! I have done many diets too and now because of atkins way of life [low-carbing] I dont have to diet anymore! About the calorie thing. The real neat thing about low-carbing is that U actually NEED enough calories in order to lose weight. U should be eating 10-12X your weight in calories. I wish U great success!
