dry mouth

What can be done about dry mouth? I've tried drinking even more water that i can handle and also breath freshener drops. Nothing seems to be working. HELP

water amount?

I read in a book called Know How that you should drink a gallon of water for every 100lbs you weigh. I don't drink that much, but my mouth gets dry a lot so I just drink water.
