Question AVACADOS?????????????????

My "Complete Book of Food Counts" reads this:

Avacado(California), fresh 1 average................12.0 carb grams

Avacado(Florida) , fresh 1 average................ 27.1 carb grams

How in the heck are we to know what we are buying. There is nothing on the Avacado to tell us. I live in Texas and I had the produce man go to the back and tell me if it came from California or Florida................would you believe it came from CHILE? LOL

So, I don't have a clue how many carbs this avadado has? What do any of you think about eating avacados that you really don't know where they come from? Are any of you being that particular about that, or just not eating them????????? I do love them and they are such a treat, but my goodness a Florida avacado would wipe one whole day out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoping to get a response!

Florida avocados have smooth skin, are big, light green and the flesh is watery. Smaller Californian avocadoes are much darker and bumpier on the outside and the flesh is buttery, crreamy and smooth. The types Haas, fuerte and Mexican avocados are lower in carbs too, just in case you run into any.

If it came from Chile it is almost the same as a Californian avocado.
