I did real well the 1st 8 months...and ate plenty of protein. Eat your meats, eat your veggies in moderation, and eat your fats. You will do fine. Stalls happen as much to those on starvation versions of LC as those who eat as they will.

I averaged 2700-3000 cakories a day and lost 84 pounds in 8 months. The fact that I put a bunch of it back on since Christmas not withstanding!

I never counted either when I started and once my appetite was under control started to limit calories and watching protein. Worked for me. Protein is now 95-120 gms per day

Joshua,

I eat between 120 and 170 grams of protein a day, and between 1500 and 2000 calories a day. Doing this I am losing about 3.5 lbs per week, or 65 pounds since January 12th of this year.

If you want to keep losing, make sure you keep an eye on your calories also - as you lose your body will need fewer calories to operate on. Look at other people's FitDay journals to see what they are eating to get ideas.

Great job so far!! Keep it up!

Well, I'm not a big guy, but thought I'd share my thoughts with you anyway.

A healthy amount of calories for protein is around 25% of your daily intake. I didn't measure the first few months either, but found out later as I lost more that I have to. I think the key here is to eat normal portion sizes when you still have a lot to lose, but as you get smaller, reduce the portion sizes down as you go. You don't have to worry about that until your weight loss slows down, though. HTH!
