Default Aching limbs

I've been on Atkins for four months and done pretty well. But this last week my limbs have been aching really badly. It's not like I've done any vigorous exercise, though the feeling is similar to when you've not exercised for a while then had a game of football or something. Is it possible that this could be down to Atkins (or perhaps not doing it properly by not eating enough fat)? I walk for about an hour a day and I had heard that if you're cutting down carboydrate and fat, your body starts to burn muscle when you exercise - it certainly feels like that.

I've noticed my body aches after a day of not drinking enough water. If your excercising quite a bit, perhaps your body is using up the water your drinking and needs more to hydrate itself. Try increasing your water and see if that helps.

I felt like this - and I don't do any excersize so it can't be that!! I found by drinking more it illiminated it to a degree where it was bearable. Also take a multi vitamine as sometimes you can feel lethargic and tired in the body if you are deficient in a mineral or vitamine.
good luck!

You should also be taking magnesium and pottassium along with your multivitamin. This really helps with achey legs. I also found drinking more water helps. But the more water you drink, the more electrolytes you flush out, which is why the mag/pot is so important, especially if you are still new to the WOE and your body is adjusting.

Protein Power recommends 400 mg of pottasium daily. I used to take that - down to about half or less than that now that I'm a year into it. I take a cal/mag supplement 3 x daily.

It really helps.
