Mexican Restaurant Smuggling
I love Mexican food, but hate the temptation of chips & salsa. I have started smuggling in my own chips & tortillas. The waiters get a kick out of my "grocery purse" but it's the best way to enjoy their wonderful salsa & carnita asada!! I just lay out several La Tiera taco shells on a baking sheet. Bake them in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes, Let cool, salt slightly & break up into chips. Put them in a baggie & your set to go. I also take soft tortillas in a bag for my tortilla substitution. The waiter will even warm them up for me!
