Default Carb Smart Ice Cream (Breyers)

Excited to see that the commisary was carrying this. I tried the vanilla. It's really good. It has 4 net carbs but 10 total for a half cup. I count total carbs so you can't have a lot. That is why I bought vanilla. Chocolate I would eat all in one sitting. I have found a great way to use it which is in my shakes. To make my shakes thicker I was adding in half and half and cream. Problem is 2 tbsp is 1 carb and by the time you put in a half cup or so it is a huge amoutn of carbs and you can't do that. Now I have found that if you add even just a 1/4 cup of the carb smart ice cream to your shake it makes the biggest difference in the world. That is only adding up to about 2 net carbs.

I've tried the Carb Smart Ice Cream Sandwiches. They were pretty good. Very, very tiny though. I had to eat two of them to feel like I'd gotten my dessert fix.

The Atkins ones are the best, although I bought the carbsmart fudge things, and they rock, hard, not as much as the P.B Atkins but still they rock.

Unhappy Ice Cream

UGH,I didn't like the Carbsmart ice cream at all. I threw it in the toilet,
it took all day to melt! Nope, try Chapmans sugar free. Yes, a little higher
in carbs but so good it is actually better than sugar ice cream. I can serve
it to guests and they always say what good ice cream it is!
I love the vanilla with sugar free strawbery sauce and few strawberries.

And talk about a great snack! Has anyone tried Carbolite Crispy Caramel Bars?
So small and very very expensive, but sooo good. Wish they were a little
cheaper,

bye to all

Cool Carb Smart Icecream

I love the chocolate and strawberry varieties too. If you have trouble limiting your portion, find a small tupperware bowl to eat it in that will only hold about 1/2 c. To stick to your serving, make sure you only eat the icecream with company -- family, friend, whatever. Accountability helps you stay honest.

There are a couple of carb smart flavors I won't bring home because they're TOO good: chocolate peanutbutter is one, the other is butter pecan. I lost control! I ended up pouring it down the drain so I wouldn't over eat it.

The butter pecan is amazing. My daughter bought the rocky road today, and it's kind of strange tasting. I had a spoonful and couldn't believe I actually thought it was too sweet. Not in a "chocolate is good" kind of way, but in a "we're trying to make up for no sugar" kind of way. I didn't like it.
I LOVE the strawberry though. I just can't even buy these things because I would eat half of it at one time at this point.
