Default Dreaming of oats....

Yesterday I was a little bit lazy and didn't cook dinner for me. The result was that I woke up starving at 4:30am and had big problems doing my 20 min. cardio on the ellipse trainer this morning. Actually I dreamt of oats with milk and yoghurt while exercising.

Anyway this shows that I still haven't found the right number of calories and carbs for myself, but I keep on trying.

Try oats w/ protein powder an hour before your weights workouts. Eating them at that time will give you good fuel for your workouts, and you'll just burn off the carbs. I let them soak in the fridge overnight and eat them cold when I wake up insanely early to do my workout before work.

Thank you for your advice, but I am not sure if it would be useful in my case.

First I want to stay in Ketosis for 6 days a week and load carbs on my free day, therefore oats would not be very helpful before training. But maybe I should increase carbs a little bit, just to stay in Ketosis.
Second I go to the gym in the morning before breakfast at 7:30. One hour earlier I am still sleeping.
And Bill P. and others recommend to train on an empty stomach for to lose fat.

True for cardio training, not sure it is always true for the weight training part.

I think your problem was that you missed a meal the night before. It is as important to eat all your meals as it is to train properly. Just make sure you don't miss out on your meals.
