Talking want to ditch sugar alcohols and/or legal treats for a month??

Starting today!

Want to join me for a one month challenge to ditch the sugar alcohols and/or legal treats??

I am not going to have a single thing with sugar alcohols, and will be cutting out most legal treats except sugar free jello with a splash of heavy cream.

No candy for me, or ice cream for an entire month. Can't wait to see how it affects my weight on april 29th.

Anyone in??

I will start on April 1st.. I have 1 cup of Atkins s/f Icecream left, and dont want to have that be a big freezer burn mess, and dh wont eat it.. so.. I will begin this challenge on the 1st.. which is Thursday.. how does that sound?

Good idea... cause I have been wondering if my 'treats' have been holding me back.

Let's make a challenge logo/graphic we can put on our sig lines..

Count me in! This is definitely a challenge I can get behind! I will start today - March 29.

I will keep my coffee and Italian sodas but no cheesecake, candies, bars, etc. I will also work to keep my syrup use to 4 tbsp or 2 packets Splenda daily.

Good idea about the splenda use too... I will have to moderate that usage too.. so I figure I will do a month, just go from April 1-til end of April..

I agree we can't really give up everything. It makes it too severe. I'll keep my jello and maybe an occasional diet Coke.

Funny I was just thinking today perhaps I should cut out sugar alcohol from my diet to see if it has any effect. I eat maybe 2 pieces of candy per day...usually not even an entire serving. But I read a thread that said some sugar alcohols can be just as bad as sugar to your system. I cant cut out all because I have Atkins shakes and they have that in there too *sigh*

I will not purchase any more candy and will not eat any more sugar alcohol (except my shakes) until April 27th (my b-day). Having LC Cheesecake that day.

Day 1 Update: I did well! No sugar alcohols or dessert-type treats. I used 4 tbsp of Da Vinci's - 2 tbsp in coffee in morning and 2 tbsp in an Italian soda in the evening. I feel very satisfied.

Update here too:

I failed the first day of my own challenge.

I had cream cheese with Equal for dessert, just couldn't help it, BUT, it kept me out of the Golden Grahams. I was REALLY thinking about just going ahead and having them, but I ate that and was full and satisfied, so I guess it evened out.

Tomorrow I guess is day one officially for me.

Well, I am retaining some water from all the cream cheese and Equal yesterday, but the nasty stuff is all gone and I can get back to my resolution!

Guess who just killed day 2 of the "Ditch the Sweets" Challenge with 5 bites of low-carb cookies and cream ice cream? Hovering over the kitchen sink no less?

What a pair we are. Okay, so we both got our slip ups out of the way early

I'm holding firm so far today. I had 1/2 of a diet Coke, and no other sweets.

I fully expect great things from my scale come april 29th!

Hello ladies.. can I join. I am usually pretty good about staying away from the treats, but I have some sugar free candies that I like to suck on in class.... Also I have some chocolate LC ice cream in the freezer Im going to try and get DB to eat before I am tempted to cheat. I have been stalled in my weight loss, and since I started to lose again this week, I dont want anything to mess it up! I am a day late, but I only had one (ok, ok two) peices of the LC candy yesterday.. so Ill start fresh today! Are we going to have a logo/graphic for this challenge?
