Default turning 45/loosing 45

Today is my 45th birthday and as of this morning I've lost 45 pounds!!! Of course I got on the scales very gingerly, exhaling all the way. The last 2 months have been so hard going up and down but never going past 225. But thanks to the wonderful support I've recieved not only from here but from my co-workers, I hung in there and lost. We normally have a free-for-all potluck for someones' birthday but they all planned an Atkins friendly lunch. If you're reading this and thinking of giving up-DON'T-hang in there and ask for support. You will definitely get it here.

I went to buy myself a new birthday outfit last night and left empty-handed. The clothes in the "Womens World" were too big with no shape and the clothes in the "Regular World" were just a little to tight. Oh well, I could think of worse situations to be in.

I'm sorry this is so wordy, but I can't begin to thank all of you out there who have shared your stories, suggestions and support.

Congratulations!

I know what it's like to hang in there through a stall. It's irritating and suspenseful! Good for you on making it through!

That is so great! My 45th b-day is in November, and I would love to be down 45 by then! Maybe I should make that my new goal on my signature....hmmmm.....45 by 45! I like it! That's pretty cool about your office coming up with an Atkins-friendly lunch! I hope you enjoyed your lunch and had a great birthday!

Sorry I haven't given you any support yet because I'm new here, but I think it's neat how everyone here seems to be SO nice. I hope your birthday is GREAT!! If you haven't decided on a birthday cake yet, my birthday was at the end of January and I planned on cheating- but in a LC way. My mom made me the Christmas Yule Log in the AFL book. YUMMY. It was a great birthday cake and I had it with Low Carb Ice Cream. A real treat after finishing induction. Nobody could believe it was low carb! It's not too big so if you have folks over your piece will be small enough to be just right. It's too cool to think that you can have your cake and eat it too with this diet. Hehe. This is the best WOE I can think of. Congratulations- you're an inspiration!!! Annie
