Default I just found a noodle idea substitute!

This maybe old news, but today I brought a leftover hamburger patty for lunch and decided to have a can of green beans with it. I normally only have regular cut green beans but I only had french cut. I put a little butter on them and I feel like I'm having pasta with my hamburger patty.

It's the little things in life!

I may try some in a tofu&cheese bake. Its all in the texture and that adds a veggie to the equation.

I also have a spiroolli. Not sure if anyone has heard of these but it is wonderful. It is actually made for making curly fries but I use for making zoodles with zuchinni.
Alls you do is make the curly zoodles then stir fry for a few minutes to soften then use a noodle with a good meat and sausage LC marinara or alfredo sauce. It makes a nice firm curly noodle that you can twirl on your fork!

I bought this to save points when I was on WW by eating the zuchinni instead of pasta but I have never used it since I have been LC'ing since the price of zuchinnis is so high.

Italian cut green beans are noodle list too. I noticed and thought the same thing when I was eating them. They are a lot wider and longer then normal green beans. The only problem is they have more carbs in them, but not an insane amount. And if it really worries you you could probably take the beans out of them.

I didn't know that the seeds inside carried the carbs. Good to know!

Ooooh, cool - I bought some frozen green beans the other day and forgot they were in the freezer!

Will probably do something pasta-like with them tonight, thanks!

Cool idea!

When I was doing WW zoodles were always a big hit. I made mine with a veggie peeler. They were v v v similar to fettucini noodles.

My sister and I have eaten french cut string beans with butter and parmesan for years! Always reminded me of veggie-noodles...

I love the forum. There are so many great thinkers out here. Green beans as a replacement for noodles. I hadn't thought of that. I've tried the spaghetti squash but not green beans. I am going to try that is weekend. Thanks.
