Default How to make a cream soup

Can't do veggies whole for a few weeks as I've got diverticulitis right now.

What basic things go into a home made cream soup? I can puree the veggies I'm sure, but not sure what else to put in there with the heavy cream.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Thank you Karen! I figured I can puree the veggies for a little while until my system settles back down.

I'm not sure what diverticulitis is, but do the veggies have to be warm? You can try the jicama mock applesauce for a nice treat. It can be eaten hot or cold. There is also borcht and gazstapo (sp) soup wise to try.

For a little fat, maybe avacado mashed with cream cheese if you can get it smooth enough.
