Default Changing tastes maybe?

Either my tastes are changing, or Ruby Tuesdays has gone seriously down hill. I worry that once they got Low Carbers to come in, they stopped putting effort into the LC menu. It could just be the cook I supose.

We ate at Ruby's before christmas. Tonight I went there again with the kids. First time the cauliflower was a small portion, and was so-so. This time it came in a dish of it's own, was a larger portion, but had a nasty burnt kind of taste to it.

Also the cheesecake was nasty this time. It had an off taste and was gritty and nasty. Now as far as I know they order in the cheesecake from a certain supplier. So that means it is probably the same cheesecake I had a few months ago and enjoyed. Think from now on I'll make my own.

Hi LadyBelle! Good idea, that way you know what's not in it.

You should have sent it back. That way they know it tastes bad.

I think if that had happened to me, I'd've been humming "Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday" under my breath as I walked out the door, vowing never to come back...

OTOH, maybe they were just having a bad day in the kitchen or breaking in a new chef. For all you know, the non-LC diners there that day may have been wondering what the h*** had happened to Ruby Tuesday's, too. I agree with red1cutie that you should have sent the food back, or at least told the manager that it seemed the food wasn't up to the standard of your first visit.
