Does anyone know anything about these supplements? It's not that I'd try them, but I'm curious about how they work and if they're beneficial for anyone on a low-carbohydrate diet.

Any of the experts know anything about them? Wa'il? Doreen?

Any information on this subject is greatly appreciated!

Hi Curvy,

From my experimentation, they didn't work for me. Check the products forum, they were discussed there before, and Doreen and others had some comments on them.

It might do you some good but it is no comparison to not eating carbs. I take them to help keep me at as close to zero carbs as possible. Whether they are working or not, I don't know. I bought them before I started Atkins, so I guess I'd better use them for something. You would have to take high doses of the commercially available carbblockers to do any good. Then you would probably have some side effects. Just as a comparison, the prescription drug Precose, that diabetics take, blocks the enzyme that digests carbs just like the Carb Blockers are supposed to do. As a side effect of the carbs not digesting, they build up in your bowel and cause (sometimes-painful) gas. I have yet to experience this with the Carb Blockers and this leads me to believe that they aren't doing their job as well as claimed.
