anybody get the atkins newsletter in their e-mail?? i like the new food pyrimid they have.....

but i am a little disturbed that right next to it, they have a recipe for chocolate cake and doughnuts???

Yeah, I got that e-mail too. I admit, I miss donuts, but I also realize that I'm better off without them. All this low-carb food may be yummy, but I fear we're going to have a lot of people eating tons of this crap and not losing weight, then crying that "Atkins doesn't work!" Just like we did in the 80s and 90s with the low-fat craze. If people then had just stuck with lean protein and veggies, they probably could have lost weight. Then along come Lean Cuisine and Snackwells, and boom! All the low-fat dieters are getting fatter!

Sorry...that was a bit of a tangent, wasn't it? All to say that low-carbers should beware of too many speciality low-carb foods.
