Default Starving? Try the "Two Gram Cure."

Another link to the website I was viewing last night.

Starving? Try the "Two Gram Cure."

It may be a bit radical or have a triggering effect for some people, but who knows?

It may possibly work, especially when you need it most. I know diabetics sometimes carry little bottles of glucose with them (especially those who experience lots of fluctuations in blood sugar levels).

Maybe it would have worked for me this morning (but I didn't read it till now). Today, I'm having a major problem with cramping, which results from having too many carbs in the last day or two, and then hitting TOM.

I was in so much pain this morning, I told my husband that strange as it may seem, I was in the mood to add more pain to the mix and have vast quantities of carbs - breads, etc.

No logical explanation except for the hormonal changes.

Anyway, I fought it and had a substantial breakfast and a cup of tea with cream, which seemed to tone my cravings down (thankfully).

Hey, the main page that the two-gram article links from is pretty interesting! (it is http://www.geocities.com/jenny_the_bean/). I'm checking out some of the other links now.

Thanks Karen.

Karen, thanks so much for posting that link! I agree with you, Grimalkin, the whole site is full of great info. I particularly like the warning that if a low carb bar with a sweetener that allegedly doesn't affect blood sugar doesn't produce lots of intestinal gas, it probably DOES get digested as carbs. LOL--we could call it the gas test.

I use this once in awhile... but I only have to have 2 smarties, instead of the 5 she recommends.

It's a great trick.

I shouldn't be absorbing any then :P Even a small bit of militol makes me stink to high heven and even those new Z-bars with erytherol (sp) give me some gas.
