Red face Low Carb Cookie Rant

[COLOR=DarkRed]I just ate a CarboRite low carb cookie that I got at Walgreens yesterday. On the package it says O Carbs, but when you look closer you see that it really has 0 "sugar" carbs. The cookie REALLY has 3.2 net carbs as described on the back of the package.

It was pretty small and very dry, but edible. What I didn't like was that I thought that the packaging was misleading and the fact that it was .99 cents for just one small cookie!!![SIZE=2]

Try cooking your own - it's safer. There are many recipes in the recipe section - they mostly involve using almond flour or protein isolate or soy flour (or a mixture) and of course artificial sweetener. I've even managed to make chocolate chip cookies my adding chips from a bar of diabetic chocolate!

I had a low carb cookie once, I dont remember the brand. It tasted fine, but for the price and the amount of carbs, its just not worth, plus it sent me into cravings overload. I seem to do much better with home made desserts, i might try baking some.
