Question xylitol question

I prefer using xylitol as a sweetner over stevia (taste) and splenda(taste and potential side effects) allthough I have both and do use them on accasion.
For the last two days i have been using xylitol in my tea (so maybe two tsp a day). I am aware of the whole debate about sugar alcohols and some say that you count all carbs, none or some. I have not been counting the carbs and still am in ketosis. So should I assume all is well? I am on day six of induction and lost a bunch of weight the first few days (5 pounds in 4 days). Yesterday and today I stayed at the same weight (also my TOM).
I guess my questions is: if you are using sugar alcohols and you are still in ketosis, is all well or can they still cause stall or gain?

Thanks!

Tanya

Tanya,
I guess that what you're really asking is whether you can be in ketosis and still not lose weight? I have seen people reporting that. But, as far as the xylitol is concerned, the only think you can do is to try it out for a while and see. If your weightloss stops for a while, then leave it out of your diet and see what happens. Drawing conclusions just over a few days weight hovering is not saying much, since our bodies naturally hovers sometimes, at points for weeks (heck, even months!) without any change in the diet causing it - just because the system needs to "catch up".

Best of luck!

/gil
