Thumbs up My kids like wraps

When visiting my parents for Christmas, I was going to make them a sandwich for lunch. My parents, who are very supportative of my diet choices, did not have whole grain bread, which is the only kind I will let my kids eat. I made them wraps with lettuice instead. They loved them. My dad bought some whole grain low carb bread the next day. I was making my kids a sandwich that day and oldest son said "can I please have a wrap instead". When my youngest saw that his brother was getting a wrap, he insisted that he get one too. I think kids want to be healthy, if you let them.

I wish mine would do that. At 4 though every thing gets classified into two groups. If it's leafy it's lettuce and if it's green it's broccoli. Of course getting him to eat any of it is a chore.

What I have found he likes though is the LaTortilla's. I'll do all natural unsalted peanut butter in a wrap and he loves it.

For bread I was buying the whole grain. Then I noticed iron kids had a ton less sugars, carbs and more fiber. Plus was iuron and calcium enriched. I switched to buying that. If I could find a really good whole grain bread that wasn't an arm and a leg I would go for that instead.
