Default Glutamine question

Does mixing glutamin with hot liquids instead of cold in any way lower it's effectiveness or cause a bad reaction of any kind?

I use the powdered and find it hard to desolve in liquids and just an off taste. Plus in the morning besides my water I like having tea or something, so it's just easier to throw it in with the tea. Will this harm it or break it down in any way?

hi there,

I'm not sure if hot water will deactivate the amino acid, but it seems unlikley .. I know that protein isolate powders are used in baking with no deterioration of their amino acids.

One thing .. you mentioned your glutamine has an "off" taste. It should be completely tasteless. Moisture will cause glutamine to decompose into an ammonia-like compound .. make sure you keep the container tightly capped and make sure the spoon is dry when you measure it out. Store in a cool, dry place.
