Gemma, why don't you post a typical days menu and let us take a look at it. Hopefully we can help you then.

Hi Gemma. If that's all you're eating, chances are you've slowed your metabolism to the point where your body is conserving all it's energy and not shedding fat. Try to make sure you get three good sized meals a day, or four to six smaller ones if you're not too hungry. Also be sure to get those three cups of veggies.

Have you tried using www.fitday.com ? It can be a real eye-opener. There's a "fitday how-to" sticky at the top of this forum to help you out.

Good luck!

On a typical day I eat

Breakfast

3 x large eggs scrambled with heavy cream
2 slices of american cheese
5 thin bacon slices

2 to 3 hours later
Small salad 2 cups lettuce
2 TBlsp Bacon Bits
3 TBlsp HV Ranch dressing

2 hours later

2 1/4 pound burgers w/ cheese
7 to 8 dill pickle chips

2 hours later

SF Jello
Whipped topping Heavy cream & splenda

Supper

8 oz portion of meat normally steak or pork chops
sometimes chicken breasts

Normal calorie total for a day 1900-2000 w/20 to 30 grams of carbs

If I space out my meals I'm less likely to binge. Before I was a real binge eater, I skipped breakfast and lunch and loaded up after 8 at nite. What a way to pack on the pounds.

hi Gemma

really agree with Kristine

you did subtract the fibre from the carb on fitday, yes ?

however in UK food labelling is already done ( due to labelling laws )
-So as fitday a US site you need to subtract fibre.
-any UK "processed " food you need to enter as custom food
see here
http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=87866

sausage - is it LC ? see UK forum for the list of best places to buy.
IMO you need your protein 3 -6 times a day and the induction veg 2 cups salad/ 1 cup cooked.

and strangely enough, something that has helped me on occasion is to proceed with OWL - adding 5 g vegetable in. Some people do better with more vegetables.

go right back and re - read DANDR ....it'll help Im sure

good luck

Wow have you really been following Atkins since July? with no loss?
My best advice is to go back and re read the whole book.
Follow his charts for carb counting, remember to subtract the fibre, in the book it does it for you. I'm not a big fan of fit day it takes to much time and can be fustrating.

You are not going to lose if that is all you are eating, get those 20 carbs in , read other's journals, see what others are eating, visit the recipe threads here, but please be sure to read the book, then ask questions if you don't understand anything.

good Luck,

Cheers Kathy
