Default Equal Chocolate Creames Hard Candy?

Hi everyone.....

I have just got back from shopping and I found these hard candies "Equal Chocolate Creames"....I don't know if its a new product or I just never seen them before.....In the nutrition panel it say's:

Calories 10
Carbs 3.3g
Isomalt 3.4g
Aspartame .6mg

Do you think these are okay to have?....
Would I subtract the Isomalt to get my net carbs?

Julie

Atkins recomends against asperteme use. I don't know what Summers says though. Some people are sensative to it and some aren't so it's a personal choice. Also the isomalt is a sugar alcohol. Some people have no problem with it, others stall or end up with sever stomach problems.

It could be a better idea to get splenda sweetened hard candy, or Sweet & Low. If you are on Atkins induction though all sweets are a no-no.

Thanks LadyBelle...I had to correct that, I was on the somersize plan since Jan 28th 2002 .... Than started Atkins in May of 2003.....I was thinking that since the Aspartame was only .6mg it wouldn't be so bad....Julie
