Feeling pressure to eat...
This is a new experience for me, and had to share. Last night my dh and I met a co-worker of his for dinner. I told my dh before going, that casual would be best. We met at a local restaurant, and sat at the bar. I ordered my usual: 1 light beer, and chicken wings with EXTRA blue cheese. My dh got the ribs and an oyster appetizer. His coworker ordered the same. My meal was commented on (is that all you are getting) by his co-worker, and I said yes. Well, my dh was still hungry, so they both ordered another round of oysters. I was perfectly happy, but did splurge on another beer. I actually felt pressure in that social situation to eat more. I ordered a shrimp appetizer. Yep, someone actually had to force me to eat. I don't ever remember being pressured to eat, stop, yes, many many times! I have never been the thin girl that can fake that "eat another bite" or eat like a bird crap, so this was a weird moment for me. Thanks for listening!
