Default New and Need to loose 100+

[FONT=Garamond]

Just started yesterday - today added exercise (only 10 Min) - in addition to having to loose weight I am lactose intolerant - cream actually makes me very ill. Are there alternatives to cream - many of the recipes on site include cream!

Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to TDC. I haven't tried it but you may be able to use Soy milk instead of cream and may be some soft tofu instead of cream cheese.

Welcome to the TDC! You'll find lots of support here. I can't help you with the creams, but you might try the kitchen forum for some help! Good luck in your weight loss.

Welcome Bjuba, hang in there and give this WOE a chance for a while. You could search the internet with google.com for recipe ideas.

I use very little cream in any recipes. I guess I tend to stick to things with sauces that use tomatoes (after induction) more than anything creamy. I also cook with low carb hoisin sauce and teriyaki sauce.

Welcome to the TDC. I think that soy milk would be an excellent choice(as MaryC said), especially since you really don't have to use very much of it in any of the recipies. You can even buy it in little boxes so that you don't wind up wasting it.
