Hi Everyone,

I am a twenty-something university student who decided to start off the new term with a new lifestyle.

I’ve never used a forum before, but I’ve also never been able to reach and maintain a healthy body weight on my own—so I thought I would take the plunge.

Last year, I did Atkins and quickly lost over 30 pounds. I know the plan works if you follow it, but sticking with it was my problem! I’ve put back on the weight, with a little more to spare.

I am really looking forward to being involved in this community. I had lurked around the site for a while, and everyone seems so very helpful and encouraging. If only I had found you guys last year, when my willpower was waning and my motivation was movin’ on out!

Well welcome, and good luck it is a bit hard to follow and stick with being a student, maybe you can find a atkins buddie ?
I really hope you make a stern effort to keep it off this time, as it is very hard on our body, to lose and gain repeatedly.
Good Luck Kathy

Welcome! You sure did come to the right place for support!

Is school already in full swing for you? Are you dependent on the cafeteria food stands or do you have a mini fridge in your room?

Best Wishes!

Hi guys,

I Don't know if you will see this, -- as I said forums are greek to me! -- but Thanks for your kind words and support.

Luckily I don't need to rely on the cafeterias. I live in an apartment with my boyfriend, and I do all the shopping and cooking. This should make meal planning and sticking to my plan easier, but it also means I have no excuses! lol.

Kathy, I don't know if you'll see this, but you deserve a big WOOHOO! Way to go! Only 2% to go, and only at it about 9 months. You are an inspiration.

Glad to see some fellow Vancouverites here! I'm sure you guys are a wealth of information for us newbies.

Thanks!
