Default FitDay Exercise Question

I scoured the FitDay sticky and couldn't find the answer to my question. I work out everyday on an eliptical machine and when I go to FitDay to add my exercise there's not an option for eliptical. There is a ski machine option but it's not the same calories. I burn 700 calories in 50 minutes on the eliptical. Is there a way to add new exercises on Fitday?

Thanks for your help! I'm really trying to be super good about using FitDay.

Hi!

>>"Is there a way to add new exercises on Fitday?"

Not that I know of, but you could just adjust the time on the "ski machine" until it equals the number of calories you burned. The time doesn't really matter.

Coho, I do the same as Kristine has advised. I use a nordictrack and when I do intervals there is no way to get the right number from Fitday. Just approximate by upping the time.

Coho, I also have an elliptical an have read that they tend to overestimate the amount of calories burned. Keep that in the back of your mind also.

KKNocarbs - please don't tell me it's not accurate!! I am pretending you did not say that - LA LA LA LA LA LA! I can't hear you!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Now I just need to figure out how to post the link to my FitDay journal in a tidier way. I hate seeing the whole URL there. Anyone know how I can change that?
