Smile Looking for LC's friends near Hamilton Ont.

Hi I am new to this site and new to Atkins. I am looking for people that maybe live near me that can give me some adivce on where I can buy low carb products. I started July 1st., 2003 and lost 10 lbs but now I am stuck. I have lost a couple more pounds but nothing really to brag about, as one day it is gone and then back.

It would be great to have a diet buddy close to home. Maybe there are a few out there are we can give each other support who knows maybe each time we loose 5lbs or 10lbs. we could reward ourselves with meeting for a coffee, decaffinated of course LOL. Any takers????????

Hi I'm Lori and I'm in Acton (yep it's worth the drive lol) Anyway I did Atkins and failed miserably! I'm trying either PP or the Zone - not sure which one yet!

I use to work for Purity Life (who is a distributor of health products) and can get the Atkins bars and bake mix wholesale!! If you are interested, I can get you prices (they don't carry everything mind you) and you would have to arrange to pick them up, but it can be done!

Good luck!! I'm back to my starting weight yet again sigh......

Lori Thanks for answering my message. I have to say I am having the same thoughts about the Atkins Diet. I am going to stay on it another two weeks and see what happens but if I do not loose any weight I will look around for something else. If you do the PP or the Zone diet I would love to here how you get on with them.

Thanks for the offer regarding the Atkisn products.

Hello from St Catharines.

Just a word of caution on "plan hopping" - the majority of the time, lack of weight loss isn't caused by the plan - it's caused by a particular food, medication, or other factor that you're likely to bring with you when you switch. This is particularly true when going from Atkins to something else, because Atkins is as strict as it gets, and going more lenient usually means slightly slower results. You might want to consider posting a few days worth of menus, and/or starting journals, then we can look at them and see if there's anything that "raises red flags" about stalling. It would stink if you switched programs, but the monkey on your back (whatever it is) follows you.

Best of luck, whatever you decide!
