Default Need help w/ Syrup question

After many rave reviews from the board, I finally found and bought Log Cabin Sugar free syrup w/ Splenda. When I read the back, it said there was 12 grams of carbs ( all sugar alcohols). There are 9 grams os Sorbitol and 3 of Malitol. Will this cause me to be knocked out of ketosis? Iam afraid to use it now!

All ideas, experience and suggestions will be appreciated.

Not to worry. You subtract all sugar alcohol's. Just like you would fiber from any label. So that would mean that it has 0 carbs.

It is possible ... also it may cause cravings or stalls or laxitive effects.

But a lot of people have no issues with sugar alcohols at all. I can enjoy and subtract from my total carbs.

I would wait until after induction then try and see how you do then you will know your body better.

I think the only log cabin syrup I have found had aspartame. Wish my store had it.

Yeah, I wish we had it too. So far, only 50/50 diabetic syrup and the yucky, watery Atkins syrup.

What I LOVE as syrup is the s/f flavored syrups with whip cream on top. Yum!

I like a little SF jam instead of syrup sometimes.

I just bought sf syrup made by SpringTree. I was scouring the syrup shelf at my local Giant hoping for some kind of sf version since the lite ones didn't have the nutrition info I wanted. Then I spied it almost hidden and most of them gone! Mind you, it has mostly sorbitol but some aspartame in it too. No mention of Splenda. It cost $2.79.

It's sweet but not really as "mapley-flavored" as I'd like. But on Atkins pancakes it's pretty good. Plus, I'm sure my kids won't even notice the difference (except if they read the label -- the Sugar Free bit is really BIG!)
