Default Half & Half

Can anyone out there tell me what half and half is in UK terms? Is it semi-skimmed milk or what. I live in London and none of the stores have anything called half & half; have been using cream so far but will like to try something else (better) if I can! Thanks!

Ah, I'm so jealous...you live in the land of clotted cream. LOVE that stuff.
Anyway, half and half is just half cream, half milk; sold here in a carton. It seems that heavy cream is preferred on Atkins as it has slightly less carbs (.8 vs 1).

HTH

Thanks a lot , but if I have to mix the cream and milk myself and it higer in carbs than just cream, I may just stick to the cream by itself for now!

Yes, what you say makes sense. The only reason that half and half is popular here is because it's more economical than straight cream.
