Question Fitday Question

I just signed up at fitday. It was my understanding on induction I could eat as many eggs as I wanted. However fitday coundted my 3 eggs for breakfast as 4carbs. Does that mean I should limit the number of eggs I eat and include that 4carbs in my total carb count. Or am I ok with just eating eggs and still have 20carbs? Thanks

Liberally, gee thats up for interpretation is it not? I generally have 2-3 eggs for breakfast and if/when I have a salad for dinner I will have a hard boiled egg with tha... Wonder if that is liberal enough

yes and i interpret it as i could eat as much as i want but i need to count carbs.
you know i also like eggs and also have had 3 eggs in the morning and maybe 2 hard boiled for lunch then maybe a couple for a salad at night. I think this is something that you could eat all day if you wanted according to atkins...but the other foods in his acceptable list you can only have so much...hey i could eat eggs all day and nothing else. i'm the type that eats only cuz i have to.
So Eggs to you *toast*

One large whole egg has 0.6g carbs. So 3 eggs would come to 1.8g ... (Fitday would show as 2g in the "Foods Eaten Today" list, but would be correctly valued in the "Calories Eaten Today" chart at the top) Make sure you're just using the entry for " Egg, whole, raw". If you use their version of scrambled eggs, they assume you've added milk, salt and cooked it in margarine (acckk! poison!) .. which would give a higher carb, polyunsaturate fat and sodium count. Same for fried eggs, they'll calculate it with extra salt and assume you've fried in margarine.

hth,

Doreen
