Default Atkins Fat Fast

Has anyone got any advice on the Fat Fast from Atkin's??
I am actually LCarbing with a work buddy... and she seems to be at some sort of a plateau... she is concidering doing this..
it is basically 1000 cal. a day/ in 5 small all fat portions.. like 200 cal for macadam. nuts... or nut butter... or tuna and mayo... stuff like that.

Has anyone had any luck on this.. it is to me only 4-5 days to get your body into gear for induction to start working again...

on the site it said if you are not having problems losing you should not do this because of health risks...

any advice??

I tried it once, and couldn't stick with it, I was very hungry and bored with it and I've also heard that once you're finished with it, you gain a few pounds back - even though there are plateaus, I feel it's better to ride them out that deviate - I've tried a lot of different "quick fixes" and haven't been successful.

I tried it once too and also felt I couldn't do it. What I like about Atkins is that it never feels like a "diet", it truly is a WOL. But doing the fat fast made me feel restricted and like I was dieting, for me it just wasn't worth it.

I tried it for a few days and found it made me sick to my stomach. I lost around 5 pounds, but it all came back as soon as I started eating induction level again.

Plateaus are natural in any weight loss program. If she rides it out and continues eating properly then it will probably pass. If it continues into a true stall, 6 weeks no weight or inches lost, then she should probably review her manus and see if there are hidden carbs, not enough fat, bars or other known staller, or some other problem that can easily be corrected. If she doesn't have much patience and gets upset at a small plateau, then she will probably get even mroe upset by doing the fat fast, esp if she gains it all back, and may pitch whole plan out the window.

Default Thanks

Well that should be reassuring to her... she was really looking at a way to jumpstart it... but it probably would be depressing to lose and then gain back... from the description online it sounded as if you could do that and jump right on to induction and then go on your way as usual... i will let her know to just hang in there...

We are really supportive of each other... and she will stick with it.. cuz we are having fun

thanks for the responce...
